Towards the end of the movie called- Turner and Hooch, the dog named hooch gives his own life to save police detective and good friend scott turner, by being shot and killed taken a bullet to save his human's friend life.
the dog named hooch helped brighten up the life of police detective scott turner.
The police chief played by actor Craig T. Nelson, who played police chief Howard Hyde, who was a very crooked police officer, who along with his crooked police detective partner were both shot and killed by police detective scott turner, who was later made police chief of the police department, that he was in.
Later on ,near the end of the movie, called turner and hooch, police chief scott was later married to that very friendly female vet, named Emily Carson.
Emily Carson's dog named camile, who had half a dozen puppies, that looked like the dog named hooch,becasuse the dog named hooch was the father of those half a dozen puppies.
those half dozen puppies, which the dog named camile had, acted like the dog named hooch and one of those puppies was the same type of dog, as hooch was.
the dog named camile was a very friendly collie.
i wished that movie of turner and hooch ending with the dog named hooch not being shot and killed.
the dog named hooch was a very friendly and very happy and messy dog.

Yes I wish he hadn't died. But the way the pup that looked and acted like Hooch looked at Tom Hanks was priceless. As was the same behaviour his dad you would think Tom Hanks' character would have picked up on.
